You can travel to Molokai by plane. The local carrier will take you from one of three airports (Oahu’s Honolulu International Airport, Maui’s Kapalui or Kahului Airports) to Molokai airport.

Trip by plane will take about 30 minutes. 

While planning a trip to Molokai, please keep in mind that there is no direct connection by air to Molokai. You would need to connect to local airlines to fly to Molokai airport. 

Upon arrival in Molokai it is best to rent a car. You will not have any problems finding the right route, since there is only one two lane highway from one end of the island to another. 

Molokai island has no public transport services. Tourists can book taxies, but these are quite limited.

What is the best time for visiting Molokai? 

During the whole year the weather on the island is almost without changes. But if you would like to watch whales for example, better to plan a trip to Molokai in January, early April.

The average temperature on the island is about 23.9C (75F) During the nights the temperature is a bit lower – 10F. If you plan a trip inside the island of Molokai, make sure to take a jacket with you, since occasionally the weather changes to colder and wetter.
