Starting September 1, 2020, tourists arriving in Egypt will be obliged to provide COVID test results and will be able to attend excursions out of their resort location. Access to the museums and architectural sightseeings will be open in Egypt next month (September), according to the statement made by Cairo Scene, based on the information obtained from the Ministry of Tourism of Arab Republic. 

But there is a new requirement for group excursions in Egypt: no more than 25 persons in a group will be allowed to enter the building at the same time. Maximum 10-15 persons will be let to enter the Pyramids together. 

Personnel and tourists must wear face masks and go through temperature screening.

But there is a piece of pleasant news for those, who plan to visit Egypt this year – they will get a 50% discount for entrance tickets, visiting sight seeing in Upper Egypt this year. The discounts are provided within the frames of Spend Summer in Upper Egypt Program and have been extended through October 2020.
