Basílica de la Sagrada Família

One of the most visited and world known buildings in the world is Basílica de la Sagrada Família. It is located in the North of Barcelona.

Basílica de la Sagrada Família is added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

This amazing building was designed by Antonio Gaudi, who created a surrealist architecture masterpiece.

The interesting fact about the Basilica is that Antonio Gaudi his Art Nouveau design while the building was built, meaning there was no exact plan and he was implementing his ideas during erections of the Cathedral.

Initially he planned 10-15 years for the Church to be built. But this plan was not realized and the Basílica de la Sagrada Família was not completed during his lifetime.

Later several Architects continued to work on the Church, based on the plans left by Antonio Gaudi. Today construction works continue.

Basílica de la Sagrada Família building has 18 towers. The exterior of the Church is incredible.

Casa Milà (La Pedrera)

La Pedrera or Casa Mila located in boulevard of Passeig de Gràcia is a must see place in Barcelona. This is one of the most famous buildings created by Antonio Gaudi.

La Pedrera means “the stone quarry”, since the exterior of the building resembles an open quarry.

La Pedrera is listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Rounded shapes of the windows, curves and balcony railings make this magnificent building one of Barcelona top attractions.
