France has announced a set of updated requirements for the tourists, who plan to visit France this summer.
The vaccinated tourists, who are going to visit France from the 9th of June 2021from the list of “green countries” will not meet any restrictions. According to the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs these include EU countries, Australia, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea.
If a traveller, who plans to enter the territory of France is not vaccinated, he or she will be obliged to complete COVID-19 PCR or antigen test. The required period of time for the test is within 72 hours of their departure.
Vaccinated travelers, who arrive from the “orange zone” will have to take a PCR test within 72 hours of their trip or antigen test, within 48 hours of the trip. “Orange zone” is set for everyone, who travels from the United States.
There must be a “pressing reason” to visit France for an unvaccinated person planning to come to France. In any case, such a traveller will have to take all tests as mentioned above and tests can be taken upon arrival. Also, self-isolation for the period of 7 days may be requested for the unvaccinated persons.
There is also a red list of countries, from which people would have to prove a reason to travel to France.
