The passengers’ flow has dropped almost 4 times in Heathrow Airport recently. The number of passengers who travel via Heathrow Airport is about 18,97 mln people. Earlier Heathrow airport served 90,88 mln passengers. 

Charles de Gaulle Airport passengers’ flow is 19,27 mln people and it makes this airport the busiest one. 

The third place among the busiest airports in Europe is occupied by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol – 17,6 mln passengers and Frankfurt am Main – 16,16 mln accordingly.

Because of the pandemic and passengers’ dropdown the losses of Heathrow airport for the period of three quarters of 2020 equal 1,5 bln pounds. 

This is not the only airport which lost a significant share of income this year. Smaller regional airports, which give jobs to about 280 000 people will probably be closed in the nearest future.
