Krka National Park in Croatia is one of the most popular destinations to visit. During all the seasons Krka Park remains one of the most visited tourist destinations in Europe. For sure this beautiful nature reserve can be called one of the top places to visit in Croatia. It is popular among young people, adults and families with kids.

Skradinskyi Buk

One of the most popular sites of the park in Skradinskyi Buk – the biggest barrier, which consists of more then 20 waterfalls.

These waterfalls are connected into one and this is the place, where Krka river ends and mixes with the waters from the sea.

Visovac island

You can plan a trip to Visovac island.

The story of this place tells that in 1445 Franciscan monks established a monastery on a tiny island of Visovac in the middle of Krka river.

Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the 18th century.

But, later, in 1576 the Church was rebuilt. Nowadays the church keeps collection of artifacts and beautiful library.

What to wear to Krka National Park 

In order to feel comfortable during your trip to Krka Park better to wear casual clothes, jeans or sportswear. In summer make sure to have a cap with you.

Even though there are a lot of trees in the park, you will be walking in the trails, where there is no shadow. 

Today the park is managed by the Public Institute and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Croatia. 

If you do not have a lot of time, 2 hours will be enough for visiting Krka National Park, but in order to enjoy this places and see all the sites, better to spend at least 1 day in the park.
